About

MISS GEORGIA LATINA and MISS TEEN GEORGIA LATINA Pageant is a celebration of beauty, style and cultural appreciation, emphasizing on the opportunity for personal development while serving the community. Miss Georgia Latina and Miss Teen Georgia Latina are the preliminaries to the national MISS US LATINA and MISS US TEEN LATINA, the most prestigious and longest-running pageant system in the world for U.S. Latinas. It is currently the only national Latina pageant in the U.S. that follows traditional pageant guidelines for participants.

Company Profile:

The idea to organize a pageant for Latin women in the USA on a national level developed simultaneously with the MISS LATIN AMERICA® Pageant in 1981. For the first time Latina women were given the opportunity to be showcased in a program that would recognize their personal and cultural attributes beyond their physical beauty and be awarded university scholarships as prizes. Although this was not a new concept in the United States, in the world of beauty pageants in Latin America, it was unique.

 Concept:

For the Latina woman in the US, this program represented a chance to compete in a non-traditional pageant that would welcome their identification with their Hispanic ancestry and finally award them the opportunity to win on their own merits, without regard to their ethnicity. To the contrary, their ethnicity was celebrated.

Mission:

The MISS LATINA US™ Pageant is now geared up for its greatest growth and expansion, paralleling that of the overall Hispanic market. The winners of Miss Georgia Latina (ages 18 to 27) and Miss Teen Georgia Latina (ages 13 to 17) divisions automatically advance, representing their state at the national MISS US LATINA™ and MISS US TEEN LATINA™ Pageants. Winner of the MISS US LATINA™ Pageant advances to represent the United States at the international MISS LATINA AMERICA® of the World Pageant.

Vision:

Miss America Latina and its MISS LATINA program is Awakening America to the ideas, culture, interests and aspirations of this country’s most powerful emerging market. Today’s young Latina women are leading the way, contributing to shaping the future economy and culture of this country into the next century.
